VILLA ILARIA

Built in the middle of the 17th century, Villa Ilaria is located in a picturesque area of Tuscany, close to the medieval town of Lucca and the ancient parish of Vorno.
Protected by an enclosure wall constructed of front viewing stones, the Villa Ilaria is a pristine example of Lucca's sober architecture, adhering to the rules in the placement of the noble floor elevated above the country floor, the double-story entry portal with stairway, and the symmetrical arrangement of the rooms surrounding the central salon, all in remembrance of a bygone era of easy elegance.

The soft hues and pungent scents of the surrounding countryside welcome and enchant anybody arriving from the town. The cypresses, which are "tall and pure," are arranged in a double row along the entrance path, and they appear to be softly approaching the guest to wish them the very best and warmest welcome as soon as the gate is in our line of sight.

The expansive lawn of the villa, adorned with roses, enormous bushes of fragrant plants, oaks, olive trees, lime trees, and magnolias, provides the perfect backdrop for the lovely swimming pool, which is now surrounded by a romantic pergola made of bougainvillea.
