Villa Doria is a splendid historical vacation rentals in Tuscany set on the slopes of the hills near Lucca in a quiet area ideal for a relaxing stay.
The villa with its large Italian garden overlooking the splendid panorama of the surrounding Lucca countryside has been restored to its ancient splendor after a recent restoration.

GROUND FLOOR
On the ground floor of this vacation rentals there is a beautiful, spacious and bright ‘salone’ or reception room with chairs sofas and coffee tables in a charming Italian style. The large sitting area of the Villa Doria is furnished with satellite TV and games, and there is a door to a full equipped study (PC, printer, copier) and wireless broadband internet access. Adjoining the ’salone’ is a large painted ceiling dining room, with a table large enough to accommodate all guests.
Also on the ground floor of the villa there is a magnificent modern kitchen – large, well-furnished and equipped to a standard which would satisfy the most exacting cook, whether she/he wanted to prepare a grand dinner, or demonstrate the art of Italian cuisine to guests.
Next to the kitchen is a laundry room, fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron etc. and a larder and a half bathroom. To complete the ground floor there are 2 guest bathroom with handicap accessible toilet and an elevator for the convenience of bringing luggage up and down from the bedrooms.
Both the ‘salone’ and the kitchen open onto the parterre, which is furnished with shaded tables where guests can barbecue their lunch, or just eat, sip wine and enjoy the view of the surrounding Lucca countryside.

FIRST FLOOR
Take the elevator or the staircase up to the first floor. The staircase leads you to a hallway. On your right are the elevator and then a hall way that runs along the north side of the vacation rentals.
Just in front of the elevator there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. Off of this hall way you have four bedrooms suites that are mirror images of each other. Enter the room into a hallway with a full equipped bathroom with tub of to the side and an ample luggage and wardrobe space with safety box. Further into your room is a living room area with a sofa bed and mini bar. Staircase leads to the loft bedroom which has two twin beds that can be combined into a king bed, an armoire, a writing table with a second mini bar.
The loft also has a second full equipped bathroom with a shower. The hallway running along the north side of the villa continues up a short flight of stairs and leads you in the last bedroom suite furnished as the other ones except that the two bathrooms have both the shower.
Each suite is elegantly furnished and decorated with individually hand-painted ceilings. All guest accommodation is fitted with individual heating/air conditioning so that all rooms are comfortable whatever the season.

SECOND FLOOR
Continue up the staircase or take the elevator to the second floor. On the hallway behind the first door on the left is a king bedroom en suite bathroom with tub and shower. The second bedroom we find facing the formal gardens is a king bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the formal gardens, this room also has a small area with desk, a walk-in closet as a large artistically-painted bathroom with tub and separate shower.
Further down the hall way, a cozy living room and a king bedroom with en suite bath. two additional double bedrooms that also face the formal gardens share a large bathroom at the end of the hallway complete the second floor.

OUTDOOR
As with all formal Italian villas, the immediate area around the house has fine pea – gravel that leads to the sprawling lawns that are well planned out. Tables and chairs that can comfortably accommodate 40 guests are under a large white canopied gazebo. A paved path or a flight of steps, takes you to the walled formal gardens that have been recreated from the original gardens of 1600′s complete with a large fountain and ideal for leisurely strolls of solitude and quietness- the air scented by the nearby walls of roses and over 100 potted lemon and grapefruit trees are scattered throughout the rentals property.
The views from the formal gardens look out over the Lucca valley and a quaint village. Once through the formal gardens, you are at the large swimming pool area, with banks of roses and jasmine climbing two sides of the ancient wall and create a canopy for shade as well as remarkable scents of rose, jasmine, citrus and herbs. An incredible relaxing experience!

LIMONAIA
The Limonaia has been converted into a large meeting hall or dining room that can be divided into four private rooms if needed for meetings, conventions etc. .
Large round tables and glass windows make this a wonderful all occasion room.
